Neighbourhood planning is coming to Harlesden!
There is lots of development happening around Harlesden (such as the proposed Old Oak Common development and the Wembley regeneration that has already happened). It’s looking more likely that smaller scale developments could happen within Harlesden as well.
That’s why we think it’s important to set up a neighbourhood forum and to develop a Neighbourhood Plan for Harlesden. Having a forum and a plan allows the community to influence local planning policy, giving all of us who live and work within the neighbourhood plan area a chance to have our say in what Harlesden looks and feels like.
There is currently a steering group whose task is to develop the neighbourhood plan boundaries and to engage with local people. The group is made up of local people who live and work in the area, and who represent organisations in Harlesden. The steering group has met twice already and the minutes can be accessed below:
Steering group meeting 26th November 2014
Steering group meeting 16th December 2014
Steering group meeting 15th January 2015
Steering group meeting 29th January 2015
