Community First

Community First was created to help communities in England come together, become more resilient, and make their local area a better place to live. It was funded by the Office for Civil Society, and administered by the Community Development Foundation (CDF), on behalf of the Government. It has run for four years, 2011 – 2015.

The Community First programme has now closed.

Kensal Green and Harlesden Wards (see maps below) were selected as one of the 600 areas to receive Community First funding.

If you are homeless or at risk of homelessness and are deemed to be non priority, we may be able to support you in looking for accommodation in the private rented sector through our PRS Service..

If you know someone who is sleeping rough for the first time, you can contact No Second Night Out on 0870 383 3333. This service aims to provide a rapid response to new rough sleepers, to ensure that they do not have to sleep out for a second night.
